So I know the summer of 2016 is quite a while ago, depressingy far away if you ask me. But it was one of my best vacations yet, because it was a mixture of travel and relax. I haven't said it on here before, but my parents bought a campervan (a pilot) , which is a whole diferent experience, but it is fantastic, and I absolutely fell in love with travelling (more than I already was)
One of our stops was in the north of France : Troyes. And no, not the one where soldiers entered in a giant horse, but a city with the same name. Although weird enough there were horses throughout the whole city..
We stopped in the middle of the city, and just decided to wander around, which turned out to be an amazing decision. 90% of the city was still in the original midieval state; crooked roads, timbered houses, and all very cute and pitoresque.

The cathedral (Cathédrale Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul de Troyes) is one of the most impressive buildings I've ever seen. It was very imposing and intricate to look at. The construction of this monument started in 1208, but it was finished in the 17th century, so that means gothic.
